In collaboration with the nieces, Anna and Clara are preparing this year’s Easter eggs. The filled eggs will decorate the Easter table. Anna, however, is secretly planning to also hide some around the house for an egg hunt.
Decorate coloured sheets of paper with watercolour, acrylic paint, finger paint or whatever you please. “Let the children unleash their creativity,†Anna says.
Print the template and cut the painted paper sheets in the shape of the template. You will need two shapes for each Easter egg.
Cut a piece of cotton yarn and needle it.
Lay two cut-out shapes on top of each other. Begin by sewing a stitch and securing the end. Sew the two shapes together on top of each other by the edges of the paper. Leave 5-7 cm open.
When you have yet to sew 5-7 cm, you can fill the shape with Easter goodies. “Remember to use chocolate Easter eggs in foil wrappings so the paper is not ruined by the chocolate,†Clara says.
Sew the rest of the Easter egg together.
