Decorate your New Year’s Eve crackers
“Let your New Year's Eve be merry and bright,” says Clara. Do as the sisters do, and personalise this year’s New Year’s Eve decorations by upgrading the decorative crackers with tassels and fringes.
Cut a folded square of silk paper of approximately 20 x 12 cm and cut fringes along the edges.
Roll your fringe to a tassel, and glue it onto the end of your cracker.
Cut a piece of crepe paper of approximately 15 x 16 cm and cut small strips in the two short ends.
Cut a piece of patterned design paper of approximately 6 x 16 cm.
Cut a piece of crepe paper of approximately 5 x 16 cm.
Cut a piece of patterned design paper of approximately 3.5 x 16 cm.
Gather your various papers around the cracker and fasten it with a glue gun. Then, tie a bow around the ends with a satin ribbon.
You can pull a bit at the ends of the crepe paper in the middle of the cracker to give it more frills. Your decorative cracker is now ready to decorate the New Year’s Eve table setting. Tip: Choose paper in your favourite colours, patterns and material to make it match your table setting.
