“One, two, three, one, two, three,†Anna chants to herself while she first puts one colour beads on the elastic thread and then another colour. “And finally, a freshwater bead,†she says triumphantly while finishing the lovely earring.
Cut two pieces of elastic cord of approx. 14 cm each and put one of them halfway through the earring hook.
Gather the ends and put a crimp bead on the cord. Push the crimp bead to the hook, so you now have a noose around the hook.
Squeeze the crimp bead, so you now have to separate cords to put beads on.
Repeat the above steps, so you have four cords in total attached to the hook.
Put glass beads and freshwater beads onto the cords and finish each cord with a crimp bead. Squeeze with long nose pliers.
When all cords are filled with beads and have crimp beads at the ends, you can cut off the excess elastic cord. “It is up to you if you would like the cords to be different lengths, but it may be a good idea to make sure that the freshwater beads are offset,†Anna says.
