Knitted scarf in brioche stitch

Using circular needle size 8.0 mm and 2 strands (1 strand of Anna and Clara’s wool bamboo yarn, Col 3, and 1 strand of Anna and Clara’s mohair nylon yarn, Col 7), cast on 31 stitches (sts).
Work 28 cm of Brioche stitch as follows: Row (r) 1: Knit 1 (k1) (= edge st), * k1, yarn over needle (yon), slip 1 (sl1) purlwise *. Repeat from * - * until 2 sts remain (rem), k1, sl1 purlwise.
Row 2: 1 edge st, * yon, sl1 purlwise, knit 2 together (k2tog) (i.e. into yon and slipped st from previous row) *. Repeat from * - * until 2 sts rem. End r with yon, sl1 purlwise, 1 edge st.
Row 3: Sl1 purlwise, * k2tog (i.e. yon and slipped stitch from previous r), yon, sl1 purlwise *. Repeat from * - * until 1 yon and 2 sts rem. k2tog (i.e. yon and slipped stitch from previous r), sl1 purlwise.
Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows throughout.
Switch to Col 1 and Col 6. Work 17 cm.
Continue with Col 6, but switch to wool bamboo yarn, Col 2. Work 5 cm.
Switch to Col 4 and Col 8. Work 24 cm. Switch to Col 5 and Col 9. Work 11 cm. Switch to Col 3 and Col 7. Work 14 cm. Switch to Col 1 and Col 6. Work 20 cm. Switch to Col 5 and Col 9. Work 4 cm. Switch to Col 4 and Col 8. Work 10 cm. Switch to Col 6 and Col 2. Work 18 cm.
The scarf measures a total of 146 cm but you can make it longer if you wish as you will have more yarn to knit with.
Weave in ends.
