Make paper art for the walls 21. February 2019

Cut the shapes out of the wallpaper scraps. Mix acrylic paint in your preferred colours and apply to sheets of paper. Allow to dry and then assemble the collage using the glue stick. Finally place your artwork in a frame. Here you can see Anna’s ideas for two very different collages

Anna has used Søstrene Grene’s new frame for this project, as both the front and back are made of glass. Being able to glimpse the wall through the glass adds a very special effect. The frame can be used for a multitude of other projects – here are a few ideas:

Instead of throwing out scraps of wallpaper, Anna recommends that you keep them and turn them into beautiful works of art. “Recycling is simply wonderful,” as Anna always says. Watch the video where Anna shows how you can make unique paper artworks out of even the smallest bits of wallpaper.

Make a picture frame with family photos, pictures of friends or maybe even your pet. Putting up pictures of your nearest and dearest on the wall in your home is sure to bring you endless joy.

When the little ones come home with new drawings, you can easily display them in these frames. And how happy that will make those dear little children.

You can also dry flowers from your garden, from your bridal bouquet or from other important events in your life and put them on display in these fine, transparent frames.

A paper collage is only one kind of homemade art which you can display in the frame. You can also exhibit works of art made with watercolours, charcoal, crayons, ink etc. “Let your creativity run free,” as Anna would say.
