Anna loves to experiment in the kitchen and add a personal touch to her cooking. She is fond of making her own flavoured salts. This time, she has made both a herb and lemon salt and a chili salt for a spicy touch. “It is quite easy to make your own herb and chili salts, and you can add exactly the flavours you prefer,†Anna says. The finished salts can be stored in glasses and have a long shelf life. “A glass of homemade flavoured salt is also perfect as a present,†Anna suggests.
Ingredients: 200 g coarse salt The zest of 2 organic lemons 1 tablespoon of lemon juice A handful of fresh rosemary Method: Rinse the lemons well. Make sure they are organic. Zest the lemons finely with a grater. Blend the lemon zest, lemon juice, rosemary and salt in a blender. Spread the herb salt on an oven plate covered with baking paper and bake the salt for approximately 1 hour on 80 degrees Celsius. Check on the salt from time to time and if possible, flip it over a few times as you go. When the salt is completely cooled off and dry, you can add it to glass jars.
