Pretzel candleholder of self-hardening clay
This lovely pretzel candleholder looks wonderful with this year's Christmas decorations. "And it will also look wonderful in the nieces' room after Christmas," Anna smiles. Find Anna's directions here and make you own adorable candleholder.
You will need approx. 2/3 of one batch of self-hardening clay. Mix a bit of water with the clay, like Anna does in the video, and knead this together before rolling it out to one, long roll.
Make a pretzel out of the roll by crossing each end over one another. You can cut off excess clay with a precision knife if needed.
Smooth the clay over with a brush and water.
Place the candleholder in the middle of the pretzel. Make sure that the candle is standing upright in the holder before leaving the clay to dry.
Paint the clay with acrylic paint and leave to dry.
Make small dots with hobby glue and sprinkle with glitter. Remove excess glitter with a small, dry brush or blow it away carefully.
When everything is dry, your pretzel candleholder will be ready for use.
