At Christmas and birthdays, Anna and Clara make sure to save the ribbon scraps from the opened gifts. "They can be used for many fun projects," Anna says. See how you can easily make a sweet jellyfish for the child's room from a cleaned plastic container and ribbon scraps.
Clean the plastic container, and make two holes in the middle of the container with a thick needle. There should be approx. 1 cm space between the holes. Paint the container a lovely colour and let it dry.
Add a piece of string of approx. 40 cm through the holes and tie a knot, for the jellyfish to be hung with.
Gather a bunch of ribbon scraps of various lengths and colours in bundles of 3 or 4. Fix every bundle with a knot. Make 5-10 bundles.
Glue the bundles of ribbon in various places inside the plastic container with a glue gun.
Now, make a crown for the jellyfish. You decide the size of it. Measure with measuring tape on top of the jellyfish how large the perimeter of the crown should be. Transfer this measurement + 1 cm (for overlap) with a line and ruler on a piece of glitter cardboard.
Draw a crown silhouette from the line as shown in the video and cut it out.
Glue the sides of the crown together and then glue the crown to the jellyfish.
Finally, glue a piece of sequin ribbon to the outside of the jellyfish at the edge.
