Weaved straw jars 21. July 2022
Natural decoration
Anna and Clara have gathered and cleaned jam and pesto glass jars which they want to decorate with natural materials. "The jars can be used as LED light holders or vases," Anna says.
Material List
Skref 1
Cut two flat sticks in the length of the glass jar.

Glue on straws from five or six points on one of the sticks with a glue gun.

Glue the other stick on top of the first where the straw is attached to fasten them further.

Weave dried straws or flowers in between the glued-on straw. Let good-looking straws or flowers stick out a bit to one side, so they will stick up the sides of the jar.

When the weaved piece is long enough, roll it around the jar and secure it with a glue gun. Be patient and press the weaved piece tightly to the glass until the glue is dry.

Place an LED light or a bouquet of flowers in the jar. The sisters kindly remind that you should only use LED lights and not lit candles in these jars.
