3 beautiful gift bows
"A beautifully tied bow can make a lovely gift utterly enchanting," Anna says as she wraps the final presents. Clara agrees and adds, "One can hardly bear to unwrap them." Here are 3 ideas for bows that can easily be the finishing touch on your gifts.
Find a wide ribbon in your desired colour. Ensure there is plenty of ribbon to create a large bow. First, tie the ribbon around the wrapped gift in a classic manner, and make a knot. Leave one end longer than the other.
Guide the longest end of the ribbon in a criss-cross motion around your fingers; from the index finger across the middle finger, between the middle finger and ring finger, around the little finger, and back again between the middle finger and ring finger. See how in the video. Repeat the procedure once more.
Now take the short end of the ribbon, and tie a knot around the loop between your middle finger and ring finger.
When the bow is tied, bring the two ends together and fold them. Now, cut diagonally towards the centre of the fold, ensuring you create two tail ends.
Finally, adjust the bow as shown in the video.
Cut three pieces of velvet ribbon to the lengths of 22, 18, and 15 cm.
Fold each piece's ends towards the centre, and glue the ends together, as shown in the video.
Glue all three pieces of ribbon on top of each other, with the longest piece at the bottom and the shortest piece on top. Ensure the glue is applied to the centre of the ribbons.
Now cut a small piece of ribbon and glue it around the centre of the three ribbon pieces as a bow knot. Ensure there is a little space between the bow knot and the three other ribbon pieces.
Finally, thread a long ribbon through the back of the bow knot and tie the ribbon around a present, so the bow ends up at the front of the gift wrapping.
Find ribbon in the desired colour. Tie the ribbon around the wrapped gift in a classic manner, and make a knot. Trim the ends, leaving two short tails on the gift.
Take a sufficiently large piece of ribbon and loosely wrap it ten times around four fingers. Fold and gather it in the middle, and now cut two diagonal slits in the centre of the ribbon, as shown in the video. "However, avoid cutting the slits too close to one another," Anna gently notes.
Place the folded ribbon on top of the gift's knot, and secure the bundle tightly using the two ends of the gift's ribbon.
Now unfold the ribbon as shown in the video, so you achieve a large bow consisting of numerous loops.
