A dazzling dragonfly
One peaceful afternoon, Anna went to the garden looking for inspiration for her needlework. Past her flew a dragonfly, immediately attracting her attention with its lightness and grace. Anna drew the outlines of the winged animal on her sketchpad. Later, this resulted in this embroidered version of the dragonfly which now adorns a makeup bag.
Fasten the textile in the embroidery frame. Start by embroidering the body of the dragonfly using satin stitches. Then, embroider the wings using stem stitches. Finally, decorate the dragonfly with small flowers of backstitches and French knots. Weave in ends.
