Adorable Advent ornaments

Print and cut the number templates. Then, use these to cut numbers from the patchwork fabric. If necessary, use needles to fasten the template to the fabric. Fold the fabric so two numbers are cut, one for each side of the Advent number.

Place the two fabric numbers together with the back facing outwards and sew them together. Leave a small opening. In the template, it is indicated with small red marks where it is easiest to leave the opening. If you wish to embroider on the number afterwards, leave the opening where the embroidery shall be placed.

Cut marks into the seam allowance where it is marked with red lines in the template. Be aware of not cutting all the way into the seam.

Turn the number and fill it with stuffing.

Bend the seam allowance into the opening and sew it together with embroidery yarn.

Sew a loop onto the top of the Advent number, so it is ready to be hung. Your Advent number is now finished and ready for use. Let the beautiful patchwork fabric speak for itself or add extra flair and festive cheer by embroidering along the edges with a shiny metallic embroidery yarn.
