Christmas

Air-dry clay bells

"Seeing the children's joy when they see the beautifully decorated tree makes Christmas even better," Clara says to Anna. "The homemade ornaments are indeed the most beautiful," Anna replies. Follow the sisters’ example and create unique bells from air-dry clay.

1

Roll out the clay, place the template on top, and cut around it.

2

Now bring the two sides together so that the clay forms a cone. Shape the clay as desired to achieve the desired bell shape.

3

Create a small hole at the top through which you can thread the cord.

4

If you wish for the bell to be able to chime, you can roll a small ball of clay, which will later be mounted inside the cone. Once the ball is rolled, make a small hole through it, for example, with a large needle. Ensure that the hole is large enough for the string to pass through.

5

Allow the cone and the ball to dry until the following day.

6

Once the clay is dry, it is time to paint the bell as you wish. You may choose to take inspiration from the video. "Finish by writing the year on it and keep the bell as a memento of Christmas Eves gone by," Clara suggests.

7

Once the paint is dry, attach the cord. Tie a large knot at one end of the cord, and thread the other end through the hole at the top of the bell. If you have made a ball for inside the bell, first tie a knot, thread the cord through the ball, and tie another knot a short distance from the ball. Finally, thread the cord through the bell.

8

Your bell is now complete and ready to adorn your Christmas tree or festive home, or to bring joy as a little extra gift for someone dear to you.
