Air-dry clay ornaments
Every year at Christmas time, Anna is excited to discover new lovely ways to decorate the Christmas presents. This year, she has made ornaments of air-dry clay and decorated them with embroidery. "The little details can make a great difference. Try it yourself!" Anna smiles.
Begin by pugging the clay to activate it.
Roll out the clay to a thickness of 0.5-1 cm.
Cut out the clay with cookie cutters of your choice.
Use a needle and a straw to make holes in the clay for the embroidery thread. You can follow the video or create your own pattern. Please note that the clay will shrink a bit when drying, so remember to make the holes slightly bigger than you want them to be.
Let the clay dry completely.
Use a piece of sandpaper to make the edges of the clay smooth.
Draw the embroidery thread through the holes in the clay to create a beautiful 3D effect. Try varying the colours and types of embroidery thread to create colourful and beautiful details.
