Airplane gift-wrapping
The nephew has a deep fascination with anything that flies, so Anna knows exactly how to decorate his birthday present. "An airplane is always a hit with children," Anna says.
Wrap the gift in sky blue gift-wrapping paper.
Using the template, cut the various parts of the airplane from cotton paper and cardboard.
Cut two slim strips of paper in the same colour as the plane, and glue them to the window to split it in three.
Now, glue the rest of the elements together. The propeller goes on the front of the plane, the window should be placed approx. 1 cm above the propeller, and the banner should be glued under the tail of the airplane. Write a birthday greeting on the banner.
Using a thick needle, make a hole at the tail of the airplane, and use scissors to expand the hole.
Tie ribbon around the present like normal, but wait to tie a knot on the ribbon.
Cut another piece of ribbon of approx. the length of the present. Bring this under the joint of the original ribbon on the present. Place the airplane on top, so the hole is above the joint.
Bring all ends of ribbon up through the hole with a needle. Now tie a bow with the original ribbon. Cut the four ribbon ends in your desired length.
Finally, decorate the two extra ribbon ends with polyester padding clouds. Pick up a wad of padding, add some glue in the middle of the wad with a glue gun and stick the ribbon end in the glue. Now squeeze the wad around the ribbon until it sticks.
