Ironing beads
Autumn bead mobile
On a walk through crackling autumn leaves of brown, red, and yellow shades, Anna is inspired to create this mobile with delicate leaves made from beads.
Download and print the template and place it under your bead plate.
Place the beads on the bead plate as shown in the template.
When the motifs are done, iron them with a flat iron with a piece of baking paper between the bead plate and the flat iron.
While the motifs are still warm, remove them from the bead plate and place them on a rolling pin. Gently press the motifs around the rolling pin. You can use a tea towel between the hot beads and your hands so you do not get burnt. Let the motifs cool off completely.
Prick a few holes in each leaf with an embroidery needle.
Connect the leaves with nylon cord. Make a noose with nylon cord in the top leaf so the mobile can hang.
