Beautiful sewn bow

Fold your patchwork fabric in three equal parts and cut one of the folded sides, so that you have a narrow strip of around 15 cm in width and a wider strip of around 30 cm in width.

Fold the narrow strip in the middle, right sides together, so that it is half as long. Then fold the wider strip, right sides together, on the long side so that it is in two layers at around 15 cm in width.

Fold the wide strip in half, and mark 10 cm from the end of the strip. Mark a diagonal line from the 10 cm out to the corner as Anna does in the video. Cut along the marking and save the excess, triangular pieces of fabric.

Sew around the narrow strip, but leave a small gap in the bottom of around 5 cm.

Sew along the wider strip which now has pointed edges.

Cut one of the triangular leftover pieces, so you are left with a strip of around 3-4 cm. Fold in the sides, as shown in the video, and press them using an iron. This will become the gathering that will be sewn onto the bow as the knot.

Turn both the sewn pieces right side out and press them using the iron.

Use needles to mark the middle of both long sides of the narrow strip and repeat the same on the long strip with pointed edges.

Stitch by hand along the middle of the wide strip, pull the stitch so the middle wrinkles, pin the end, and repeat the same on the narrow strip.

Fold the pressed ribbon around the wrinkles on both strips, so the narrow becomes the bow, and the long strip with pointed edges hangs from the bow. Secure the ribbon on the back.

Add the decorations you desire. Anna has chosen beautiful beads in different colours. Let the bow decorate in the Christmas living room or on a hook or a door handle.
