Bojagi-inspired bedspread made from fabric scraps

The sisters enjoy utilising every kind of fabric for new projects. "With tea towels, cloth napkins, and fabric scraps from previous projects, you can create a unique bedspread using the Korean bojagi-inspired technique," Anna suggests. "This way, nothing goes to waste," Clara adds.

1

Start by collecting fabric in your desired colours and patterns. You can use anything from tea towels, cloth napkins, or old fabric scraps. Now draw a rough sketch of the finished bedspread and remember to note the desired measurements on the sketch.

2

Begin by placing two pieces of fabric together, and cut to size. Sew the pieces of fabric together one by one, so that the bedspread becomes larger and larger.

3

Around the edge of your bedspread, you can add cut-off fabric scraps to make everything come together. "That way, as little as possible goes to waste," Clara notes.

4

Repeat steps 1-3 to create 2 bedspreads of the same size to use as the front and back of your finished bedspread. You can also choose one large piece of fabric for the back of your bedspread.

5

Now cut an appropriately sized piece of batting and place it between the front and back of your bedspread.

6

Finally, sew the front and back together with binding as shown in the video, and your unique bedspread is ready to use.
