Brass snowdrop
Let the heralds of spring adorn your home, without ever wilting. Be inspired by the sisters' template and guide to creating shiny brass snowdrops. "It is not that difficult at all," Clara kindly notes.
Begin the project by printing and cutting out the template, and then transfer the figure to your brass sheet by sketching it with a pencil.
Now cut out the shape, and pierce a hole in the centre with an awl.
Pull the sewing thread halfway through a bead in the colour of your choice, then pass one end of the thread through the bead once more to secure it. Now, pass both ends of the thread through the hole in the brass cut-out.
Now pull two more beads onto the thread on the other side of the cut-out, as shown in the video. "Remember to thread the beads through both ends of the sewing thread," Anna notes. Tie a knot around the last bead so the snowdrop can be hung up.
Next, shape the brass petals using a pencil, as shown in the video, until the desired shape is achieved.
Now your snowdrop is ready to be hung on charming branches in a vase or from the window, as decorative heralds of spring. "Perhaps accompanied by even more snowdrops with beads in other colours," suggests Anna, who can hardly stop once an idea takes hold.
