Breathe new life into old finds
Refresh your old vases, jars, or candleholders with structure paste and paint for a personal and unique expression. "Or revitalise beautiful secondhand finds," Clara suggests.
First, gently sand your decorative item with sandpaper, so the structure paste adheres better.
Next, apply the structure paste evenly with a wide brush, and let it dry for approximately 24 hours. If you are using a candlestick, avoid putting structure paste in the hole where the candle is to be placed. "It would be a pity if the candle no longer fits," Clara knows from bitter experience.
When the decorative item is dry, sand it slightly once again with sandpaper until the desired texture is achieved.
Now paint the decorative item with acrylic paint in your favourite colour by dabbing the paint on evenly with a sponge until the desired colour effect is achieved.
Allow the paint to dry. Then your decorative item is ready to give your home a unique and personal touch.
