Christmas tree in felt

Anna is fully immersed in the preparations for this year’s Christmas decorations, and is currently occupied with sewing lovely ornaments in felt. These darling small Christmas trees with tassels will adorn the windows around the home.

1

Print the template and cut out two pieces of felt using the template.

2

Use chalk or a small needle to mark where the tassels are to be placed on one of the two pieces.

3

Use a needle to guide the thread through the first point from the back and roll the thread around your finger a few times.

4

Finish the tassel by gathering all the loops at the top of the finger and use the needle to sew a couple of knots through the felt.

5

Restrain the loops at the other end of the thread to ensure they do not move but remain the same length.

6

Fasten the upper part of the loops by sewing across the assembled loops a few times, and then finish at the back.

7

Cut the ends of all the loops and trim the ends of the tassels to make them equal in length.

8

Finally, place the two Christmas trees on top of each other and sew them together along the edges. Start sewing from the top of the Christmas tree. Before finishing at the top, fill the tree with padding and make a large loop with the embroidery yarn to hang up the ornament.
