Clay bowl with splash effect
"Homemade creations adorn the home in a truly special way," Anna says and places her new clay bowl on the bedside table. "What a darling and practical addition," Clara notes. Do as the sisters do and create your own colourful clay bowls.
Pug the clay gently, and roll it flat until you reach a thickness of approx. 0.5 cm.
Cut out a circle in the clay. Feel free to make the circle asymmetrical for a more organic expression.
Optionally, you can smooth the edges with a bit of water for a neat finish.
Attach three DIY balls to a piece of cardboard with glue and let them dry.
Place the clay on the three DIY balls and press gently in the middle to form a bowl.
Place the clay in a spot that is not too warm and let it dry slowly. Anna recommends that you initially cover it with a plastic bag. This way, you avoid the clay cracking.
When the clay bowl is dry, you can smooth off any roughness with sandpaper.
Finally, paint the bowl in colours of your choice with acrylic spray paint to achieve a beautiful splash effect.
Now the bowl is ready to adorn your home.
