Clay propagation holder
Anna and Clara love to cultivate nature and see it blossom. “With a bit of ingenuity, you can easily create a clay holder for propagated plants, which can help the small cuttings on their way to becoming large, sprouting plants,” Anna says. “Quite practical,” Clara remarks and adds: "They can also be used to arrange a lovely flower decoration."
Knead the clay gently, and roll it flat until you reach a thickness of approx. 0.5 cm.
Use a glass to mark circles in the clay in your desired size, and then cut out the circles.
Optionally, you can smooth the edges with a bit of water for a neat finish.
Poke small holes in the clay, for example with a straw.
If you like, you can decorate the clay, for example with letter stamps.
Place the clay in a spot that is not too warm and let it dry slowly. Anna recommends that you initially cover it with a plastic bag. This way, you avoid the clay cracking.
When the clay propagation holders are dry, you can smooth off any roughness with sandpaper.
Now you are ready to organise your cuttings and witness them sprout.
