Create a collage with watercolours
"It is quite easy to create a multidimensional image with watercolours," Anna says, adding, "A delightful project for big and small on a day when one prefers to stay indoors."
Begin by selecting the colours you would like to use for the collage. Then, paint an entire sheet of watercolour paper with one colour. Continue painting each of your chosen colours on separate sheets.
When the paint is dry, sketch silhouettes of flowers, stems, and leaves on the various sheets. Save a single sheet with the colour you have chosen as the background colour. Feel free to find inspiration in the video, Anna suggests.
Now cut out the drawn silhouettes from the painted sheets using scissors or a precision knife. Clara reminds you to be gentle so as not to damage the silhouettes.
Now build up the picture in layers until you have a beautiful motif. Remember to secure each silhouette with glue or tape. For an airy effect, Anna has used self-adhesive foam pads to attach the many silhouettes.
When the composition is to your liking, the collage is ready to be framed. To maintain the airy effect, you may choose to omit the glass in the frame.
