Create a macramé angel

Cut 3 x 12 pieces of cord of macramé yarn of approx. 30 cm and put one bundle of 12 cords aside.

Tie 12 cords around the wooden ring by folding a cord in half, bringing the loop through the ring and lastly pulling the ends of the cord through the loop. Then, tie 12 more cords onto the other side of the wooden ring.

Cut a cord of the metallic yarn (glitter cord) of approx. 40 cm. Fold the glitter cord in half and tie two macramé cords together. Twist the glitter cord around the macramé cords. Pull the ends of the glitter cord through by using a needle. Continue until you have six pieces with glitter cord on each side.

Divide each piece of cord into two and tie two pieces together with glitter cord in the same way as before. Continue until you have five pieces of cord in the second row on each side.

Unravel the macramé cord ends with a comb. Do the same with the 12 pieces of cord you have left.

Cut a piece of glitter cord of approx. 50 cm and tie it to the bottom of the wooden ring. Attach a wooden bead on the glitter cord with a needle and tie the cord to the top of the wooden ring. At last, tie a knot for hanging the ornament.

Divide the bundle of unravelled macramé cord into two bundles of the same size. Put both bundles through the wooden ring, so that you have one bundle on each side of the wooden bead. Cut a macramé cord of approx. 30 cm and place it under the two bundles. Now, gather both bundles and tie and twist these together with glitter cord. Finish off in the same way as at step 3.

Comb the big tassel and cut it as the angel's dress. Comb the unravelled sides and cut them round as the angel's wings.

Finally, tie a knot of the two loose ends of macramé cords to make it look like the angel's folded hands.
