Create art with pouring paint
With fluid acrylic paint, also known as 'pouring paint', you can create the finest artworks with a vibrant expression. "The technique can be mastered by both beginners and experienced artists," Anna remarks. "Give it a try!"
Pour pouring medium into two separate containers, and mix two different colours of acrylic paint into them until you achieve a consistency similar to that of yoghurt. You may use a small whisk to blend the colours if needed.
Apply a thin layer of one of the colours to a canvas until it is completely covered. Use a spatula, if necessary, to spread it evenly.
Then dip a piece of cotton string, for example from a ball of yarn, into the second colour of pouring medium. "Remember gloves to minimise the mess," Clara recommends.
Once the string is covered in paint, lay it on top of the canvas in a wavy shape.
Now gently pull down on the right side of the string, as shown in the video, so that the string pulls the paint downwards, creating a vibrant play of colours and a shape resembling a flower petal.
Continue in the same manner with more flower petals until you are satisfied with your artwork. If you wish, you can dab the string with a third colour of acrylic paint for an extra vibrant expression, or use this colour to splatter small flecks onto the canvas with a brush, as shown in the video.
Finally, let the artwork dry completely and let it adorn a wall in your home.
