Crepe paper Easter chicks
"A touch of glue here, a small feather there…" Anna mumbles in a creative moment with the nephew and nieces. Follow Anna's directions and see how a wealth of Easter chicks take shape.
Download and print the templates and cut out the square from crepe paper. Cut out the circle, the beak, and the wing from design paper.
Pleat the crepe paper like a fan with folds of around 1 cm in width.
Poke through the middle of the folded crepe paper and sew around the paper a couple of times as shown in the video. Secure with a knot.
Glue the sides of the folded crepe paper together to form a rosette.
Glue the wing and the circle onto the rosette and an eye onto the circle.
Glue the beak onto the back of the rosette and repeat with the feathers to create the tail of the Easter chick.
Pull a thread through the glued joint on top of the Easter chick's back with a needle to make a noose as shown in the video.
You can now decorate the home with the lovely Easter chicks. "The chicks are precious on branches in vases," Anna says. "Or hanging in the window," Clara adds.
