Crochet cherry from gift ribbon
Anna loves experimenting with new ways of using creative materials. Here, she has made a crochet cherry from gift ribbon which will look great on any present.
Wrap the gift in fabric with a twisted knot on top. The fabric can be reused for wrapping of other presents, or the recipient can use it for a creative project.
"Using your fingers, crochet chain stitches with red ribbon until the crochet chain can be closed to a circle of suitable size. In the video, the circle is approx. 3 cm wide. Now, cut the ribbon. Bring the start of the crochet chain through the open noose and tighten to close the circle. Repeat the process once more so you have two red cherries."
Now, crochet a longer chain in green. This is the cherry stem. Finish the ends by tying the cherries to them.
Cut a piece of green ribbon of approx. 20-30 cm. Tie the cherries to the present by the fabric knot with the green ribbon. Cut the ends in a pointy arch to look like cherry leaves.
