Crochet cushion from t-shirt strips
Anna has gathered a bunch of old t-shirts from the closet which she will now give new life as a cushion for a stool.
Cut a bunch of strips from old t-shirts. As long as possible.
Stretch out the strips and tie them together with knots until you have a piece of approx. 1 metre for a start. It is easiest to add more strips to the piece as you go along making the cushion as you can then see how the colours end up mixing and matching.
Now, you must crochet in a circle like shown in the video. Start out with a piece of ribbon yarn and make a noose on it. Add 4 more nooses by fetching the yarn through the former noose. Add the final noose to a chrochet needle and fetch the yarn through the first mask/noose you made.
Now, work treble crochets around the circle. In the first round, fetch the yarn through the middle of the circle. After that, fetch the yarn in the masks of the circle as normal. Cut the ribbon yarn after a round or two and tie the piece of t-shirt strips onto this. Work treble crochets further round the circle. It is important to keep the crohet piece loose to avoid making the cushion bowl-shaped.
When the size of the cushion matches the seat of the stool, finish the work with a slip stich. Cut the thread, pull it through the final noose on the crochet needle and tighten. Finish with a knot on the back.
