Christmas decorations are dear to the sisters' hearts, and that is why they crochet new additions to their collection each year, such as this elegant, crocheted heart.
Round (rd) 1: Make 8 chain stitches (ch) and form a ring with 1 double crochet (dc).
Rd 2: Work 1 ch and then 15 half treble crochet stitches (htr) in the ring. Weave the yarn tail into the work as you go. End rd with 1 slip stitch (ss).
Rd 3: Work 4 ch, 1 triple treble crochet stitch (trtr).
Work 2 quadruple treble crochet stitches (qtr) into the next stitch (st). Work 2 qtr and 1 trtr into the next st. Work 2 trtr into the next st. Work 2 double treble crochet (dtr) into the next st, three times. Work 2 dtr, 2 ch and 2 dtr into the next st. Work 2 dtr into the next st, three times. Work 2 trtr into the next st. Work 1 trtr and 2 qtr into the next st. Work 2 qtr into the next st. Work 1 trtr, 4 ch and end with 1 ss in the last st.
Cut the thread and the heart is finished.
