Crochet star garland

Decorate for Christmas with a crocheted star garland. Anna likes to hang the garland in windows and on doors throughout the home. "Let the Christmas joy spread," she smiles.

1

Make 7 chain stitches (ch) to form a ring with 1 slip stitch (ss).

2

Round (rd) 1: Work 2 ch and then 15 treble crochet stitches (tr) in the ring. Weave the yarn tail into the work as you go. End with 1 ss.

3

Rd 2: 1 ch, *1 half treble crochet (htr), 1 tr and 1 double treble crochet (dtr) into the same stitch (st). 1 triple treble crochet (trtr), 4 ch, 1 double crochet (dc) into the first ch and 1 trtr into the same st. 1 dtr and 1 tr into the same st *. Repeat from * to * to end of rd.

4

Cut the thread and the star is finished.

5

Crochet as many stars as you wish to make your garland. Put the stars on a crochet cord. To make the cord, work 30 ch and attach a star with 1 ss at one of the points. Work a further 30 ch and attach the next star. Continue until all the stars are attached.
