Decoupage Christmas bell

A Christmas bell is a wonderful, nostalgic addition to the rest of the Christmas decorations," Anna believes. With decoupage technique and paint, you can create your own atmospheric Christmas bell for this year's Christmas tree.

1

Paint your bell with gold-coloured acrylic paint both inside and outside, and let it dry.

2

Paint stripes with green acrylic paint down towards every edge around the bell as shown in the video, and let it dry.

3

Grab a sheet of design paper and cut a rectangular piece. Place the piece on the bell between two green stripes and mark the space between the two stripes on the design paper with a pencil. Cut out the marked area on the piece of paper, so that it fits between two stripes. Cut eight pieces like this so you have one piece for each space.

4

Use a paint brush to apply decoupage glue on the bell between two of the green stripes and attach the paper piece. Also apply glue on top of the paper and attach its end on the bottom by applying glue inside the bell. Follow the same procedure with the remaining pieces. Let it dry.

5

Remove the existing handle from the bell. Instead, cut a piece of narrow gold-coloured ribbon approx. 40 cm long. Thread the ribbon with a needle and pass it through the hole twice, so that you end up with a loop at the top of the bell.

6

Attach a miniature bell on the ribbon under the bell and tie a knot, so the bell can just be seen under the bell from the side.

7

Cut a wide piece of velvet ribbon and tie a bow around the loop. Your Christmas bell is now ready to create a lovely Christmas atmosphere in the home.
