Earrings with cluster of freshwater pearls

These wonderful earrings can be used for both casual and formal occasions. "Jewellery which looks exclusive is not necessarily difficult to make," Anna smiles. Follow her lead with the guide here.

Make eight pendants with small freshwater pearls and five pendants with the large freshwater pearls. Lead a headpin through one freshwater pearl and at the end of the pearl grab around the headpin with your round-nose pliers. Bend the headpin around the pliers so a noose is made.

Grab the noose with flat-nose pliers and use a different set of flat nose pliers to grab the end of the headpin so you can twist the headpin around itself a couple of times. Cut off excess headpin.

Repeat this process until all pendants are made.

Add a small pendant, then a large one and then a small one again to the O-ring. Close the O-ring again using two flat-nose pliers.

Open another O-ring and add another small pendant, then the first O-ring with pendants and then another small pendant before closing this O-ring.

Continue with this method until you are left with only two small pendants. Here, two large pendants were added to the third O-ring, then two small to the fourth O-ring, and finally two large ones to the fifth O-ring.

Now, firstly add a small pendant to an earring hook, then the cluster of freshwater pearls, and lastly another small pendant. Finish the earring by squeezing the hook at the spot on which the cluster is hanging so it does not fall off. Now, the earring is ready to be worn. Repeat the process if you would like a pair of earrings.
