Ironing beads

Easter eggs made of iron beads and ribbon

In an easy and simple way, Anna has transformed beads and ribbons into the loveliest Easter eggs, ready to be hung up. Try it yourself, and let the little ones join in.

1

Begin by printing out the attached template.

2

Place the template on the table, followed by the bead plate on top. Then, place the iron beads accordingly.

3

When all the beads are in place, place baking paper on top, and iron the beads. Be careful not to press too hard or hold the iron in the same spot for too long, as this may cause the beads to melt so much that the holes close up.

4

Now thread a needle with a ribbon of the desired length and colour. Pass the needle through the centre hole at the bottom of the egg until there is an equal length of ribbon on each side. Thread the two ends of the ribbon along the holes on each side of the egg until they meet. "Just as shown in the video," Anna explains.

5

Then, thread both ends of the ribbon through the same bead at the top of the egg, and create a loop by tying a knot, so the egg can be hung up.

6

Thread the needle anew with a fresh piece of ribbon, and pass the needle through the beads at the centre of the egg, as shown in the video. Tie a beautiful bow, and your Easter egg is now ready to adorn a lovely spring branch in the home.
