Embroidered bird ornaments
Create enchanting bird ornaments with fabric and embroidered details. "Hang them on a delightful branch, and let them adorn the home or the children's room," Anna suggests.
Print and cut out the three templates. Fold the fabric in half, and trace the templates for the desired number of birds, i.e., two pieces of fabric per bird.
Sew the birds together around the edge using a sewing machine. "Pay special attention to the small details of the bird," Anna advises. Leave approximately five centimetres open so the bird can be turned and filled.
Cut off any excess fabric around the edges. Then, turn the bird right side out, and if necessary, you can use a needle to bring out the details.
Now, fill the bird with stuffing.
Sew the rest of the bird together with small stitches by hand. You may also choose to make the stitches around the closure part of the embroidered details.
Embroider decorative details on the bird according to your own imagination. Just ensure that the stitches look neat on both sides.
Finish by attaching a string for hanging, and let the birds adorn a lovely branch in your home. "Perhaps the little ones will enjoy the birds in their room," Anna smiles, and Clara suggests incorporating the birds into a mobile for the very youngest.
