Embroidered fabric cover for jars
Decorate your preservation jars with a fabric cover embellished with embroidery. "That way, your homemade preserves can be displayed in the kitchen in the loveliest manner," Anna says. Follow the sisters' guide and choose your favourite motif.
Begin by cutting a circle from the fabric you wish to embroider on. The circle should be large enough to cover the lid of your selected jar and to be secured with string afterwards.
Attach the fabric circle to the embroidery frame.
Sketch your desired motif on the fabric with a pencil.
Next, embroider with embroidery thread in the colours and stitches of your choice.
When your embroidery motif is finished, you can choose to iron it.
Now, your cover is ready to adorn your preservation jar. Tie a pretty string around the fabric cap, and display your homemade pickles or jams in the kitchen.
