Embroidered flowers on clothing

"Old, worn, or recycled clothes can easily be given new life with embroidery," Anna smiles as she embroiders the loveliest flowers onto her jacket with colourful embroidery thread. "And furthermore, the creative moment is incredibly cosy in itself," she continues.

1

Find the materials needed, along with the piece of clothing you wish to embroider on. Here, Anna has chosen to renew a jacket, but you can embroider on any piece of clothing.

2

Embroider the flowers onto the fabric with embroidery thread and needle, using the designs in the video as inspiration if you wish.

3

If you are experienced in embroidery, you might experiment with different types of stitches to vary the look of the flowers. On the other hand, if you are a beginner, you can choose to work with one colour at a time, so you do not have to change threads many times. For example, begin by sewing all the stems using only one colour, and move forward with as few colours as possible.

4

Finally, pin the stitches on the backside. You are now ready to showcase your renewed jacket, shirt, blouse, or trousers.
