Embroidered recycled cardboard ornaments
"Like stars on a frosty night," Clara says of Anna's and her niece's lavish display of stars in the large living room window. "Just think of what recycled cardboard can be transformed into," Anna adds, as the niece smiles at the creative result she proudly helped to create.

Print the templates and cut them out. If you do not have this option, you can also use cookie cutters in Christmas designs.

Trace from the template onto recycled cardboard. If you have ordered items from the Søstrene Grene website, you can, for example, use the cardboard box in which the items arrived.

Cut out the sketched motif, and mark with a pencil where holes should be made for embroidery.

Now, pierce the holes with an awl. If you do not have one, you can easily use a strong needle instead. "Remember to use a cutting board or similar underneath," Clara gently reminds.

Embroider through the holes in your desired colours, and finally attach a string for hanging.

The ornament is now complete and ready to adorn your home during the Christmas season.
