Fabric pennant garland
"A classic pennant garland is always festive," Anna says. This version in fabric can be used for parties again and again or hang permanently in the home as a charming decoration.
Print and cut the template for the little pennants.
Cut the desired amount of pennants in a variety of colours and prints. Lay the fabric double, so there are two pieces of fabric in each pennant.
Bend the edges in on each side of the top part of the pennant. Needle the edges in place or press lightly with an iron.
Sew from one of the top corners to the bottom point and back up to the other top corner.
Bend the top seam allowance so it lays on the reverse side of the fabric on each side of the flag and iron it flat. Trim the seam allowance at the bottom point.
Flip the pennant right side out and sew the top part together merely a few millimetres from the edge. Press shortly with an iron to make the pennant neat and flat. When all pennants are finished, add some jute twine to a big needle. Bring the needle through the little hole in the bottom corners of the flags and spread out the flags on the twine.
