Flowerpot cover made of yarn
Yarn can be transformed into much more than just garments, the sisters believe. Immerse yourself in a creative moment, and create a cosy flowerpot cover out of yarn with a knitting loom. "A beautiful finish to a green touch in the home," Anna believes.
Begin by combining several types of yarn in the desired colours, or use a very thick type of yarn, so you get a dense flowerpot cover.
Make a loop with the yarn and attach it to the start pin of the knitting loom.
Wrap the yarn behind each peg on the knitting loom and work counterclockwise. Continue until you have been all the way around twice.
Now, pick up the bottom loop on each peg with a crochet hook and pull this loop over the top loop and off the peg. Continue until you have gone all the way around.
Cast on a new round of loops in the same way. When you have cast on loops along the entire knitting loom, pick up the bottom loop on each peg and pass it over the top loop with a crochet hook.
Continue in this way until you have reached the desired height of your flowerpot cover.
Cut the yarn a good distance from the knitting loom itself, so you have a long piece of loose yarn.
Thread the end of the yarn with a large needle, and catch every loop on the knitting loom by passing the yarn through and removing the loop from the knitting ring.
Once the flowerpot cover is released from the knitting loom, tighten the yarn to close the end and secure both yarn ends.
The knitted flowerpot cover is now ready to adorn your flowerpot and add a decorative touch.
