Framed patchwork quilt

A lovely pathwork piece can be an interesting addition to the gallery wall. "The eye is drawn to what stands out," Anna says while she carefully cuts out the different shapes of patchwork fabric.

1

Download and print the template. Cut out the different shapes or create your own.

2

Choose the desired pathwork fabrics, and cut out the shapes from the fabric.

3

Choose the fabric you wish to use as your background. Here, Anna has chosen a plain green. Cut this piece of fabric in the size of an A4-sheet. For this you can use the quilt-patterned template.

4

Place your cotton batting flat on the table, and place the A4-sized background fabric on top of the cotton batting.

5

Place the cut out pieces of printed pacthwork as you wish. If you want to, you can secure these with double-sided adhesive tape, so they do not move while you sew.

6

"Use page 2 of the template. Here, you find a guide on how to quilt all the elements together. Fasten the template on your patchwork pieces by use of needles. ""It is better to use too many needles than too few,"" Anna recommends."

7

Sew along the lines on the template. When you are finished, you can tear the template off your work. Frame your work and hang it on the wall.
