From table to playhouse
Let the dear little ones experience the joy of creative pursuits and let them take part in creating this playhouse using an old piece of fabric. 'Both the creative process as well as the play that arises will surely bring joy,' Anna smiles.
First, cover a table of your choice with an old tablecloth or sheet.
Fold the corners and lead thin ribbons through the folds with a needle to gather the sides. Optionally, finish with a bow.
Place the masking tape on the side of the fabric to form a window and a door. Use the masking tape as an indicator of where to cut holes in the fabric to create the window and door. Avoid cutting off the door completely, but let the top part be attached to the fabric, so the door can be rolled up and down.
Now, remove all the masking tape, and place new masking tape around the window and the door with a few centimetres of distance to the edges.
Paint the edges of the window and the door in your desired colours, and then remove the masking tape. You can also choose to paint flowers, grass, or bricks on the playhouse as additional decoration. 'Only your imagination sets the limits,' as Anna likes to say.
Optionally, decorate the door with a handle, wreath, or something else. Sew a piece of ribbon through the top of the door, so it can be rolled up and attached with the ribbon.
To decorate even more, you can use extra fabric to sew pockets and use glue to attach them under the window to let them serve as plant boxes. You can also make the inside of the playhouse a little extra cosy with string lights, pillows, and blankets.
Now the playhouse is ready for many hours of fun and play for the dear little ones.
