Garland for the Christmas table
Bring nature inside and create an enchanting Christmas table with a decorative table garland. “With a few tools and greenery from the nature, you can make this year’s Christmas table something truly special,” Anna smiles.
Role out white clay with a rolling pin until it reaches a thickness of about 5 mm. Use the small leaf-shaped cutter to cut out approx. 20 small leaves.
Use a wooden knife to imprint a leaf pattern onto each leaf. Anna has created small lines that resemble the veins of a leaf. Let the leaves dry.
When the leaves are dry you can lightly polish them with sandpaper for a smoother edge.
Now, take the golden metal wire and start to twist and twine small loops coincidentally along the thread. Use the long-nose pliers or the bent-nose pliers to hold the wire steady while twisting. When the garland reaches the desired length, then cut the metal wire with the side-cutting pliers.
Now, glue the leaves on the loop-formed ends of the wire. Optionally, you can also glue a small piece of paper on the back to help the glue adhere better. You can also glue two leaves staggered on the loops for a more random expression.
When your table garland has small leaves attached all the way through, place it on top of a couple of spruce branches and optionally add some moss or other decorative greenery to create extra ambiance. Now, you and your loved ones can let the Christmas spirit settle in at the beautiful table.
