Grow your own avocado tree
"Instead of throwing the avocado pit out, let it make roots and grow your own little avocado tree," Anna recommends. She finds the process both decorative and fun to follow.

Wash the pit thoroughly.

Put three toothpicks into the sides of the pit and let it rest on the edge of a glass of water, so the pit is touching the water.

Put the glass in a warm, sunny spot and make sure the pit is partially in water at all times.

After two-six weeks the pit should take root.

When the roots are about 10-15 cm long, the little plant should be transferred to soil. Use a fertilizer for indoor plants.

Water the plant continuously and watch it grow.
