Hairclip with light beaded vines
In a drawer under Anna’s dressing table, she keeps a small collection of hairclips which she uses for her characteristic bun. This homemade clip is one of her favourites due to the lovely colours and shiny beads.

Cut a piece of metal wire of approximately 30 cm and put about 10 beads on the wire, depending on the size of the beads and the desired size of the bead blooms

Gather the wire over the beads approximately 5 cm from one end of the wire and twist it a couple of times so you have a noose with beads on it.

Once again, put 10 beads on the longest end of the wire and twist the wire around the beads, so you have a noose.

Continue until you have a vine of beaded nooses spread on both sides of the wire. The vine should be about half the length of the hair clip.

Lay the vine flat on the table and pull the individual leaves up and in towards the middle, so the vine gets a light and rich look. Step 6: Fasten the vine on one end of the hairclip by twisting the end of the metal wire around the clip.

Fasten the vine on one end of the hairclip by twisting the end of the metal wire around the clip.

Make another two vines of beads in other colours. Fasten the beaded vines onto the hairclip.
