Homemade snow globe
"Wow!" the nephew exclaims as he turns the snow globe and can explore more and more of the drawing. Follow Anna's steps for a simple and cosy project which can gather adults and children alike.
You will need card stock to glue to the outer side of your jar. Use the jar to measure how much card stock is needed and make a mark halfway on the card stock. Mark the height of the jar and cut the card stock.
Make a sketch on one half of the card stock. Anna's drawing in the video is purely for your inspiration, the drawing can be just what the child desires. Make sketches for triangle-shaped trees along the bottom of the other half of the card stock and cut out both the square and the outline of the trees in one sheet for the child.
Colour the drawing in just the colours you like and leave this to dry. While you wait, you can together with the child choose which sequins should go into the snow globe. Anna recommends using about a handful of sequins.
When the drawing is dry, it is ready to be glued onto the jar. The strip with the treetops is also to be glued on. If the strip is too short to reach all the way around, you can cut out a few individual trees and glue them on one by one.
Add water and sequins to the jar. Make sure to fill the jar with lots of water to avoid too much air before closing it tightly with the lid.
