Knitted Christmas bow
Seeing the charming hand-knitted Christmas bows, the nieces can hardly wait to decorate for Christmas. "The bows can also be attached to a hair clip," Anna says, smiling at the excited nieces.
Using two strands of mohair nylon yarn (pull a strand from the inside of the ball) and knitting needles size 5 m, cast on 3 stitches (sts). Now work back and forth.
Row 1: Slip the first stitch purlwise, knit (k) the remaining sts. Row 2: Slip the first stitch purlwise, make 1 st through the back loop between the first and second sts (k1 tbl), k to end of row (r).
Repeat these 2 increase rs until there are 16 sts in the r. To continue: Work in garter st until your work measures 60 cm. Slip the first 1 stitch in every row
Now decrease in alternate rs as follows (and make sure that you decrease on the same side as you increased): Slip 1 purlwise, knit 2 stitches together, k to end of r. Continue until 3 sts remain. Cast off.
Weave in ends and tie your bow. You can tie your bows directly onto the Christmas tree or attach a cord to hang. Great on a hair clip or sewn to a scrunchie.
