Knitted scrunchie
”Now girls, let us knit our very own hair elastics,” Anna says to her nieces. “It is called a scrunchie,” the nieces laugh. “All right then,” Anna says with a smile as she gets out the yarn and a couple of knitting needles.
Cast on 50 stitches with double thread on a circular knitting needles size 5.
Knit stockinette stitch until the knitting measures at least 10 cm.
Close off the stitches.
Gather the ends so that the knitted piece forms a closed circle. Place the hair elastic around it as shown in the video.
Close the knitted piece around the hair elastic and crochet it with a crochet hook size 3 or 4.
