Lively hydrangea Christmas wreath

Anna has picked the late blooming hydrangea in the garden and dried them. Now, the beautiful flowers are the crowning glory of a lively Christmas wreath which will look great both on the door and wall.

1

Pick the late blooming hydrangea in the garden and dry them like this: Remove leaves from the stems, and leave the flowers in a vase with just a bit of water. The stem should be approx. 2 cm in the water. Leave the flowers to dry. When they are dry, the flower leaves will be crisp.

2

When the hydrangea flowers are dry, you can make the wreath. Start by adding cedar branches or a different kind of spruce to the wreath in one side with metal wire. The branches should be facing both up and down. The ends of all the materials added to the wreath will cross in the middle, and this is where the metal wire should be wrapped.

3

Add eucalyptus, a few red branches with leaves and little berries to the wreath in the same way, some pieces facing up and other facing down. Everything should be added to that one side of the wreath to give it a nice, asymmetrical look.

4

Add hydrangea to the middle of the gathering of natural materials on the wreath.

5

Cut the metal wire and hide the end by gluing on some cones with a glue gun.

6

Now, you can glue on little dried natural-coloured flowers randomly on the wreath.

7

Add some little cones to the wreath here and there with metal wire.
