Macramé-inspired Christmas tree garland
Decorate your home for Christmas with a homemade Christmas tree garland. The macramé technique is easy to learn, so everyone can join in. "Craft trees with knots and yarn, and fill your home with Christmas charm," Clara hums, and Anna laughs.
Cut a piece of the macramé yarn in your preferred length of the garland.
Cut out white 30 cm pieces of yarn to create the stems of the Christmas trees. Cut as many as your want Christmas trees on your garland.
Knot the white cords onto the garland (as shown in the video). Make sure to make even spaces between the stems.
Cut out green 20 cm pieces of yarn to create the branches of the trees.
Knot the green cords around the white stems and let them point alternately to the left and to the right. Make sure to place the green cords closely together to hide the white stem completely. Leave a little piece of white cord at the bottom of the tree to create the foot of the tree.
When the preferred number of green cords have been tied to the stem, fray the cords and brush them out completely.
Cut the green threads to shape a triangle-shaped Christmas tree. Repeat the steps until all the Christmas trees are done, and let the Christmas tree garland adorn your home at Christmas time.
